ECCLESIA MINISTRIES CHURCH HISTORY

The history of Ecclesia Ministries Church dates back to November 1999. Ecclesia Ministries Church came into existence through God’s inspiration to Pastor Victor O. Foster.   While serving active duty in the United States Marine Corps, Pastor Foster conducted bible study in his home with, his wife, their three children, Brother Christopher G. White and Brother Kevin Rembert.  The church served under watch care at UPHC Rocky Run under the leadership of Bishop Clarence J. Flowers until a site was located for worship.  The first location for worship services was 617 New Bridge Street, a storefront property which required a great deal of work and refurbishing.  With the spiritual counsel, prayers and financial support of Bishop Clarence Flowers, the first Sunday Service was held at this location in April 2000.  After a short period of time, the church acquired an adjoining storefront space to conduct worship services and utilized the 617 location as a fellowship hall.

In November 2002, the Lord led Pastor Foster to inquire about a sanctuary located at 303 E Franck Street in Richlands, NC, which became the current place of worship for Ecclesia Ministries.  Bishop S.L. Carney, Senior Pastor of Deliverance Church in Angier, NC and St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Richlands, NC was very instrumental in helping to secure this location for Ecclesia Ministries.  Bishop Carney arranged for the church to be purchased, fully furnished with pews and other furnishings needed to conduct worship.  The church held its first service at this location in November 2002.

In June 2010, the church held a mortgage burning celebration services commemorating this major accomplishment of what God did in allowing us to make the final payment for the property in such a short length of time.

During a year that took us all by surprise God remained in the blessing business. In March of 2020 God allowed us to purchase the lot next door to the church. Allowing that to be the next step of our vision, to build a multipurpose facility to benefit the community. Since the purchase we have demolished the house, cleared trees put in a driveway and now placing a building along in the back.

God’s favor rests upon the ministry as He continues to make provisions for us.  When it comes to God's favor and His grace and blessings, it has nothing to do with earning it. It has nothing to do with being worthy of it. His grace and favor have been extended to us. He is the One who made the promises. He is the One who will keep His word. He is the One who has extended Himself to us, regardless of our response.
